EthoScan is free to use. To keep it free and ad-free, some outbound links to retailers and brands on EthoScan may be affiliate links. If you click one and make a purchase, the retailer may pay us a small commission — at no additional cost to you.

What never changes

• Verdicts are independent. A brand's cruelty-free or vegan rating is never influenced by any commercial relationship. Brands and retailers cannot pay for a rating, a better rating, or placement in our results.
• Recommendations are earned, not sold. Alternatives we suggest are selected because the brand is independently certified cruelty-free (for example, Leaping Bunny or PETA) and relevant to what you're viewing — never because of commission rates.
• We label it. Affiliate placements are identified as such.
• No tracking games. We don't modify links on retailer sites, don't interact with your checkout, and don't claim credit for purchases we didn't refer.
